9 Thus[a] people[b] were scorched by the terrible heat,[c] yet[d] they blasphemed the name of God, who has ruling authority[e] over these plagues, and they would not repent and give him glory.
10 Then[f] the fifth angel[g] poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast so that[h] darkness covered his kingdom,[i] and people[j] began to bite[k] their tongues because[l] of their pain. 11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their sufferings[m] and because of their sores,[n] but nevertheless[o] they still refused to repent[p] of their deeds.
